Exterior Progress

The shingles are done, just in time for the rain to start this afternoon.

 

 

The first window was installed in the Master Bedroom.  Everyday it looks more and more like a house.  Too bad the fast paced progress will slow once we start work on the guts of the house.



Moving Fast

 



 

The crew is really moving fast, they have all of the exterior plywood installed and have all of the walls framed.  The started working on the roof/shingles late yesterday, but have installed a lot already today.

 

 

The trailer from the supplier arrived to deliver the windows!  The house should be dried in by the end of the week, if we do not get rained on first.

 



Truss Worthy

Looks like rain last night hasn't slowed anything down at the construction site.

 

The roof trusses are being set over the kitchen/living room area.  The trusses are already installed over the garage, master suite, kids rooms and the back porch.  It is really starting to take the shape of a house this week.  It looks like all of the trusses may get set today.

 



Wall Work

 

Yesterday J & W Construction installed the floor decking and all of the exterior walls.  It is really taking shape now, so exciting. 

 

Today Jeremy and the crew should get the interior walls framed and the exterior plywood on, if it doesn't rain.

 



Baby News

 

In other news, Suzanne and I found out today that Carter is going to have a baby brother in October!

 



Let the Framing Begin

 

Carterman is supervising the framing crew.

 

They just started framing today and the basement is framed and they are a third of the way done with the floor trusses.

 

 

Load #1

 

The first lumber delivery, so exciting to finally start framing!

 

Carter got a new drill this past week and now with all this wood he will be ready to start working.

 

Completed Foundation

The garage and porch walls were poured and the forms should be removed on Wednesday.

 

With a little luck and good weather we should start framing next week.

 

Basement Floor

 

The basement floor has been poured and they are getting ready to finish it!

 

The garage footers are being poured while they wait to finish the basement floor.
